About us

Results

  • We have prepared a draft of contract model for the Ministry of Trade and Industry, tender documentation and tender procedure methodologies for public contracting authorities of projects using energy services with a guaranteed result.
  • For the MTI, we have developed a proposal for the certification of consultancy firms and energy service providers.
  • We have organised a conference and lectured on a number of seminars and trainings to promote energy services with guaranteed result as one of the important ways of increasing energy efficiency, as perceived by the European Commission’s EED 2012/27/EU.
  • We are working on a guide to a possible procedure for the contracting authority to carry out construction projects with the Design & Build (& Operate) delivery method, focusing on minimising total life cycle costs, which, similarly to EPC, puts emphasis on reducing the energy intensity of buildings.

International co-operation

APES and its members are involved in a number of major international projects:

Green deal for buildings - rountable

Renovation of buildings in the Czech Republic and Slovakia cannot achieve the required pace without the participation of private capital and the involvement of other sources and instruments of financing. This requires the cooperation of all stakeholders and the implementation of effective financial instruments. How this financing should look like will be the subject of round tables with all stakeholders.

The main task of the project is to organise Roundtables with the participation of top experts from the private and public sectors, the main output of which will be the development of proposals for measures and action plans to influence the policies of key stakeholders and to support the implementation of the Smart Finance for Smart Buildings initiative, in particular in terms of improving the efficiency of public financing and the involvement of private capital. Three expert teams with experts from the Czech Republic and Slovakia will look in detail at efficient financing, increasing investment in energy efficiency and increasing value and investor confidence.

Cross-border exchange of experience in energy efficiency improvement

The aim of the project supported by EUKI 2020 (EUropean Climate Initiative/ Europäische Klimaschutzinitiative) is to create a network or networks of cooperating entities in the Czech Republic in the field of energy efficiency improvement and to share information and experiences within this network that will contribute to the creation of further projects focused on energy savings, RES use and innovation.

The newly created Czech network will prepare and submit a project proposal for energy savings in buildings or industries. This can have a great impact, as today municipalities, SMEs have low awareness and little experience and capacity to prepare similar projects. The functioning and results of this network of stakeholders will then be presented and offered to other potential stakeholders in other regions or industries.

The project participants will meet at least twice a year at workshops in the Czech Republic and Germany to exchange experiences on efficient energy service solutions in industry, municipalities and the public sector on both sides of the border. There will also be a space for sharing information on state support for achieving energy savings. The first workshop will take place as early as 3 February 2020. During the project, there will also be two visits to visit successful projects in the Czech Republic as well as in Bavaria.

The Association of Energy Service Providers (APES) and the Center for Excellence for Cogeneration Technologies based in Amberg, Bavaria, working closely with the Ostbayerische Technische Hoschule Amberg, Weiden, are involved in the project together with the University Centre for Energy Efficient Buildings (UCEEB).

He graduated in Nuclear Power Plants and Equipment from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute. At the beginning of his professional career, he focused on nuclear energy, first working as a reactor operator at the Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant and later at the Temelín Nuclear Power Plant as a commissioning shift engineer for the general technology supplier, ŠKODA PRAHA. He became involved in energy efficiency projects while working at MVV Energie s.r.o., where he served as Manager of the Energy Services Division from 2000 to 2005. Since 2005, he has held various managerial positions at ENESA a.s., a company specializing in energy services that has delivered dozens of successful EPC projects throughout its existence. During his career in the energy sector, particularly in the field of energy efficiency, he has worked on numerous international projects and on the development of energy services markets in several countries.
